Donโ€™t compare your journey

In a world where it's so easy to see everyone else's achievements, it's also easy to forget that every athlete is on a different path.

Some people are just starting out, while others have years of experience behind them. We often compare our everyday efforts to someone else's highlight reel without knowing the work and challenges they've faced to get there.

The only comparison that really matters is with the person you were yesterday. Progress isn't always about being the fastest, strongest, or most experiencedโ€”it's about becoming a little better over time. This is so important to remember as an elite athlete, because itโ€™ll get to a point where we stop seeing major physical differences and start recognizing our progress in our gameplay and technique.

Celebrate your own milestones, no matter how small they seem. Every training session, every lesson learned, and every step forward is part of your journey.

Instead of focusing on where someone else is, focus on where you're headed. Your journey is unique, and your progress deserves to be recognised.

What's one goal you're currently working towards, and what small step are you taking to get there?
